John Deere 1st Birthday Party!!
To Celebrate Camp's first birthday, this is not until the 28th, our family and closest friends came to Chattanooga to celebrate with us. It was such an awesome expression of love to Camp. We're so blessed to have so many people in our life who love him dearly (no pun intended). Below are some "tid bits" from the day.

I tried to make the food table like a farm. I labeled the food accordingly. Therefore, Camp's guest had the below:
Chicken Coop: Chicken Buffalo dip
Corn Field: Frito's and tortilla chips
Pig pen: Hot dogs, Barb-a-que and piggy’s in a blanket
Vegetable Garden: veggies and dip and broccoli salad
For Dessert Camp offered the below:
Dirt: Dirt Cake with gummie worms with shovel scoopers
Cotton Field: Oreo cake balls

After eating we opened presents!!!

Then it was time for Camp to eat his birthday cake or "Smash Cake."

Family Pictures before everyone left to head home.

Boys will be Boys!
This week has been nuts! Camp is on Spring Break so I've been a SAHM. I have one word to describe me at this point: EXHAUSTED! I say this, laughing inside, because my child is barely walking. Side note: Camp is taking steps on his own, but his main mode of transportation is crawling.
I must say, I need my two days with Camp at MDO. This week has been a little crazier than usual because I'm planning and cleaning etc for his party on Saturday. I'm constantly on the move with him. In fact, I felt single the other day because I ate lunch standing over the sink watching him in the living room. BUT I've come to the conclusion, an obvious one, that I have a boy. Being destructive is in his nature. Of course, I assume all babies are in their own way. Below is my case and point:
A picture of Camp when he was about 7 or 8 months. He'd play in his play section and just be so neat and quiet.

Camp, this week, left alone for I'd literally say three minutes. All I hear is little screams, giggles and yelling.

Ordinary Life
Our baby boy is growing up and so is his nursery. We added some orange to the baby blue and baby green:
Never a dull moment or shall I say never a moment for mom to sit:

Trixie got her hair done:

I love to look at Camp's hands compared to his daddy's. Oh, how I pray that one day he will have hands like his fathers. Hands that work hard, that provide and that love and are gentle.

The diaper bag now totes sippee cups and my coffee:

11 Months!!!
WOW!! I can’t believe it. It just doesn’t seem real to me…11months! Blake and I both agree that Camp has changed the most between month 10 and 11. It’s just amazing how much he has developed. He talks more and makes sense. He’s using new words like “Dog.” He can stand up by himself and now just needs to take a step to begin walking. He can put a basketball through his little basketball goal. He can turn on his toys. He can put shapes in the right spots. It’s just been amazing seeing him develop what seems like overnight. So, this is where we are:
-I don’t know length and weight. I will know for his year post.
-No more bottles!!! Yeah kitchen space. Camp drinks water and milk out of his sippee cups. I have to admit this ending and beginning was bitter sweet. I did almost cry when I fed him his last bottle, but by the time the feeling approached me he was already done with the bottle.
-He eats all table food. The only things he doesn’t like so far are broccoli and cottage cheese.
-He wears size 12 and 12 to 18 month clothes.
-He wears size four diapers.
-He loves balls and anything that rolls.
-He loves to throw things.
-He loves to wave and is just starting to blow kisses. It’s the best to pick him up at MDO or come home and he sees you and just smiles and waves.
-He has 8 teeth.
-He crawls fast now.
-He cruises around the furniture.
-He can stand up by himself and then just sits down. He can stand for a good while.
-He’s like a clock. He must be in bed by 8pm (or he gets ill) and he wakes up at 7:30am.
-He loves “kid” food: mac-n-cheese, hot dogs, cheese toast, etc.
-No one makes him smile like his daddy!!
-I, as the discipliner, have begun to tell Camp, “No.” He now repeats the word, “No,” back to me. HA!
-Now Trixie has taken a liking to Camp, but only when he’s eating. She stands right under his high chair and eats everything he drops.
-He opens and closes things now rather it is doors, the commode seat, cabinets etc.
-Camp must have his morning nap or the rest of the day is HORRIBLE!!! He is able to skip his afternoon nap and be fine. In the afternoons if he doesn’t sleep, he just sits in his crib for about an hour talking and playing with his stuff animals.
-He has curls too!!
-Hazel eyes-they didn’t turn brown.
I’ve learned that my floors are never clean enough-HA! I could literally sweep/vacuum everyday and Camp finds something to put in his mouth.
I’ve also learned that I don’t have to teach my child to disobey unfortunately sin is automatically in him. I’ve got to teach him goodness and Christ. Case and point: Camp don’t throw your food across the room. Camp looks at me and throws!!! At the same time, Camp is just being a kid.BUT when you’re at a restaurant and people are dodging because your kid is throwing food their way you’ve got to do something. I’m sure you could imagine my face!!! His daddy is the one who taught him how to throw.

Food, Bubbles and Strolling...
The past couple of days have been a little rough. Since Camp has had table food he does not want anything else. He has stopped eating baby food and that was no big deal. Since he had table food he realized that baby food was not as good. BUT he stopped drinking his milk because he wants table food all the time. For two HARD days I had to work and work to get him back to drinking milk. We're back on track and all seem happy. Did I mention how much this child eats??? Just like his daddy...pray for me now yall because I can't imagine when he's a teenager-HA!
Picking up food:

HAPPY!!!

Examine Food (We take eating serious at the Startup home!):

Happy!

Bath time is another favorite of Camps'. Bath time used to be a quiet time of calmness and just peace, BUT not anymore. We all get wet. It's now a time full of little screams and giggles. He's just so cute splashing and having fun.
Examine water and bubbles:

SPLASH TIME!!!!

Excited!!!

Since it has been in the 70's in Chattanooga, Camp, Trixie and me have gone for strolls around the neighborhood. Camp decided he was just going to prop one foot up and stroll:
