Post 5: Snow Days

Who is this little girl??? My how she's grown...

It snowed in Chattanooga, which is rare. Of course, Camp wanted to go outside. When it was snowing, he said, "Snowballs are coming down."

Post 4: 4, 5 and 6 mths

I feel like with the second child time goes by even faster. I also feel, or it is with me, that with the first child you couldn't wait for them to reach the next exciting timeline item, like sitting up. With the second child, it's bitter sweet. On one hand you're excited, but on the other you know their growing up and you don't want them too.

Overall, Kate is a great baby. She really only cries when she's hungry. She's always happy and has the biggest smile!!!! She's social!!

Oh my, like I mentioned in another post, I totally have the second child syndrome. I haven't kept up so well with her growth points like I did with Camp. But here goes...

4 mths:
14. 13 lbs (Camp 16.5lbs)
25 inch (Camp 26 inch)
Kate has begun sleeping through the night!!! She's in 6mth clothes. She's not the best morning napper, but a great afternoon napper. She loves her swing!! She can roll over.

.

5 Months:
We didn't go to the Dr. this month. So, really nothing new. Kate sits up with boppy behind her. Wears 6-9 mth clothes.

 6 Months:
Weight: 17.95 (Camp 17.4)
height: 25 inch (I don't feel like this is right because she was 25 inch last time and has grown because she's in 9 mth clothes now. (Camp- 27 inch.)

Kate can sit up by her self. She's started eating baby food. She loves it!! Like Camp, we kind of skipped over the cereal. She did not like it at all. She's up on  fours and swaying. She's not taken off or gone backwards yet. She coos and makes fun noises all the time. She grabs onto everything now. She's so alert. She loves her big brother!!! Now that she sits up, Camp plays with her and interacts with her more. For example, Kate got a picnic basket for Christmas. We have floor picnics and Camp brings his dinosaurs to eat with us. Oh, I just love the difference between a boy and girl. I love dinosaur picnics!!!!

Camp calls her Kate-E-Bug. We call her Katie Bug. She probably thinks her name is Sissy, because that's what Blake and I call her all the time. God knew we needed a girl to balance out this family. Camp is a typical boy when it comes to being destructive and active. But he's a lover not a fighter. Therefore, a sister to love on and take care of  is perfect for him.

Kate's still drooling constantly, but no teeth. By now Camp had 3 teeth. Kate's hair is like a dirty blond and she has blue eyes. Oh, and even more, she looks like Blake!!! She's still not a good morning napper. She takes like a 30 minute nap. She naps well during the afternoon and sleeps great at night. She sleeps from 7:30pm- to 7:30 to 8:30am.

Part 3: New Years Eve

Blake and I never, really, get to go out. I mean we have dates. But I mean GO OUT!! You know where you get to hang out with other people your age and forget you have any real responsibilities. Oh, it was so nice to relax and have fun!!!! We spent NYE with my Sister in-law and her husband and their friends. It was great! It was like we were part of the gang and all old friends. If you know me, you know I love to dance. Dancing is what I did!!!!!

Part 2: Christmas

Christmas time was busy for us. I hate to say it, but I've got the second child syndrome. You know the one where your first child you wouldn't have missed opportunities like getting their picture with Santa. In fact, Camp got his twice. Poor Kate, we never made it!!! As you can tell, I was  a better blogger with Camp too. I just hate it, but it happens.

Anyways for Christmas we hung out at our house and most our visitors came before or after. Below are some shots throughout the month of Dec. On Christmas morning, Kate (like her mama) was pretty excited to receive a purse!!! For Camp, we created him an art area in the bonus room with a table and painted the walls like a chalkboard. You can also see he got a baseball helmet which he wore the whole day. Excuse Camp's pictures, he's in his underwear. We were in the midst of potty training then. Oh, potty training that's another post for another day-ha!!!

Also, I had two dear friends stop by and see me!! First, Tiffany a friend from college and her family. Her boys and Camp loved each other. Secondly, one of my dear friends, Loren, from high school dropped by our house.
